In collaboration with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s (RVH) IOOF satellite unit.
The unit which has been in outbreak since October 14 saw 15 patients test positive for COVID-19 on the 27-bed unit. All patients have resolved symptoms at this time. There were no deaths and no members of TEAM RVH tested positive as a result of this outbreak.
The unit has returned to normal operations with visitor screening still in place.
